Open Merchant Hub → Reports → Sales Breakdown for a detailed breakdown of individual transactions. Set a date range and filter by outlet, then review the cards (Total Sales, Gross Sales, Total Refunds), the charts (Daily Sales Trend, Payment Methods, Sales vs Refunds), and the Orders table of every transaction.

## Key takeaways

- Sales Breakdown (Reports → Sales Breakdown) is a detailed breakdown of individual transactions for a date range.
- Cards show Total Sales (number of sales), Gross Sales (before discounts and taxes), and Total Refunds (number of refunds).
- Charts show the Daily Sales Trend (gross sales per day), Payment Methods (card vs. cash vs. others), and Sales vs Refunds (by transaction type).
- The Orders table lists each transaction: Order Date, Receipt #, Type, Outlet, Staff, Items, Subtotal, Discounts, your tax rate, and Total.
- Filter by date range and outlet, sort the table by column, and export with Download.

## What the Sales Breakdown shows

The Sales Breakdown report is a **detailed breakdown of individual transactions** for a chosen period — three cards, three charts, and the Orders table.

**Cards**

- **Total Sales** — the number of sales in the selected period.
- **Gross Sales** — total before discounts and taxes.
- **Total Refunds** — the number of refunds in the selected period.

**Charts**

- **Daily Sales Trend** — gross sales per day.
- **Payment Methods** — card vs. cash breakdown vs. others.
- **Sales vs Refunds** — distribution by transaction type (sales vs. refunds).

**Orders table**

The **Orders** table (it shows how many orders are listed, e.g. "Showing 16 of 16 orders") lists each transaction with these columns:

- **Order Date**
- **Receipt #**
- **Type** — Sale or Refund
- **Outlet**
- **Staff**
- **Items**
- **Subtotal**
- **Discounts**
- your **tax rate** — the column is named for your tax (for example, *NL Sales Tax 15%*)
- **Total**

Several columns are sortable — click the arrows in the header (for example, Order Date, Receipt #, Outlet, Staff, Subtotal, Total).

## Open and filter the report

1. In the Merchant Hub, go to **Reports** and open **Sales Breakdown**.
2. **Set the date range** for the period you want.
3. **Filter by outlet** — it defaults to **All outlets**.

## Reading the report

The cards give you the headline counts and gross sales; the charts show the trend over time, how customers paid, and how sales compare to refunds; and the **Orders** table lets you trace every individual transaction line by line.

## Exporting the report

Use the **Download** button to export the Sales Breakdown as **CSV**, **Excel (XLSX)**, or **PDF**. For the full steps, see **How to export your reports**.
