February brings a fresh round of improvements designed to keep your operation moving—faster to get started, easier to stay on top of performance, and more ways to run checkout on your terms. Let’s walk through what shipped.
At a glance:
Virtual Station lets you run Final on any device with an internet browser. This means you’re no longer confined to the native app to take orders and check out customers. Just create the Virtual Station in Run, open the unique hyperlink, sign in, and you’ve got a full POS experience ready to go on laptops, PCs, or even a smart TV! The payoff is simple: faster setups, easier scaling for busy times, unlimited stations, quick one-time use POS for events, and multi-counter service without extra installs.

In an effort to reduce friction and make user onboarding as simple as possible, we have removed the extra step of creating your first company and outlet (they are now auto-created for you, still editable later) and auto-determining your tax setup based on location (also editable later just in case). In addition to this, we have added a handy “Start now” widget to the Manage dashboard to help guide new users through setting up outlets, products, payments, and extensions. You can also access frequently-used tools in the new “shortcuts” sidebar in Manage.
By popular request, we have now made it much easier to transparently see transaction fees and estimated payout amounts on Financial Summary Reports. This data is also available in Pay.
Since we have now released a paid extension, Custom Payments, we have added a Billing page accessible from the 9-dot menu which presents a live dashboard of your company’s upcoming charges, invoice dates, and billing address, as well as other important details such as usage limits for outlets, users, and station, and available flows, tools, and extensions.
Generate API keys directly from Manage: You can now view and generate new API keys in the Settings menu in Manage. This makes integrations and extensions faster to set up and easier to maintain.
Enhanced data cleanup following WordPress best practices (for WooCommerce users): We’ve tightened up how Final stores and cleans up WordPress data behind the scenes, reducing clutter and keeping your POS running smoother over time.
PHPCS security compliance improvements (for WooCommerce users): Cleaner, safer code with fewer red flags during reviews—helping reduce risk and improve long-term stability.
