About this flow

Vision Drive-Thru is a dedicated drive-thru point-of-sale system designed for quick-service restaurants. It speeds up ordering with vehicle identification tags, persistent lane queue tracking, quick-cash and split tendering, and instant routing to kitchen displays.

What it can do

Lane Queue Tracking

Track active cars with visual status indicators, elapsed timers, and pull-forward parking alerts.

Vehicle Identification

Tag orders by vehicle type, color swatch, make, and custom notes to ensure accurate window hand-offs.

Fast-Action Catalog

Tap high-contrast color-coded tiles optimized for rapid item selection and modifier additions without extra menus.

Quick Cash & Split Payments

Process exact cash, one-tap calculated change presets, split payments, or terminal card charges in seconds.

Integrated Kitchen Routing

Review, adjust, and fire orders directly to the kitchen display screen or print formatted kitchen tickets.

Speed of Service Analytics

Monitor day-of service metrics, ordering duration, and kitchen prep times against target speed benchmarks.

Version history

  1. v1.2.2Current

Refreshed the drive-thru ordering interface with streamlined controls and updated components across queues and checkout. - Updated item catalog and cart adjustment controls for smoother ordering - Enhanced the vehicle sheet and lane queue displays - Streamlined payment tender actions and order note modal workflows

  2. v1.2.0

Updated the layout spacing and modernized the statistics view using standard interface components. - Widened the cart rail and aligned header controls for better readability - Redesigned the stats screen with refreshed card layouts and toolbars - Removed the kitchen display screen from the main navigation

  3. v1.1.0

Command-frame 0.6.0 rework. MONEY - Tender responses are read as three states, not two: failed / captured / settled, off the 0.6.0 `saleFinalized` + `remainingBalance` fields. A partial tender that captured money is no longer reported as a failure with a retry for the full amount — it routes into the split checkout with the leg recorded. - voidOrder wired to the one void that can touch money (the car holding the live cart). It runs before the cart is cleared, reports whether legs were refunded, and the car stays in the lane if the host will not release the money or the cart cannot be read. - "Hold again" refuses to park a car that has money captured against it. - Hand-off no longer clears the cart of a DIFFERENT car — it previously wiped an in-progress order, captured legs included. - Tender amounts are read from the host's balance at tender time, not from a figure captured when the screen opened. - Recorded sale totals now span every leg (rail capture + closing tender), and a captured card leg with a null amount falls back to the amount charged instead of recording zero. CATALOG - Product-to-category joining rebuilt on candidate-key overlap: at 0.6.0 CFProduct.categories is {name, externalId} objects while CFCategory has `id` and no `_id`, so chip counts all read 0 and tapping a chip emptied the grid. Identifiers match freely; a name matches only when it is unique across the category list, so duplicate leaf names cannot cross-file a product. The same fix restores the modifier-group lookup, which had never matched a product. - Menu tiles, the "from" price and the options sheet are sale-aware (salePrice when isOnSale). THEME - Deleted the theme.css :root override that re-declared engine tokens and fought the corner knob; colour and corners come from the flow's brand settings. - Mode-unsafe utilities replaced with tokens throughout (scrim backdrops, success/warning/destructive pairs); print surfaces and the brand mark are marked as deliberately off-theme. Known, unfixed and recorded in the source: white tile text does not meet WCAG AA on 5 of the 10 category fills; the sale-price assumption and the reader-cancel path need hardware to settle.
