Vision Price Check

Vision Price Check is a standalone, wall-mounted kiosk application designed for retail store aisles. Customers can scan barcodes with hardware scanners or search the catalog manually using an on-screen keyboard to instantly view exact item prices, variant availability, and store inventory without waiting for staff.

Instant Barcode Lookup

Captures hardware scanner input via keyboard wedge emulation to immediately display matching product details.

Multi-Variant Pricing & Stock

Displays all live product variants with independent pricing, unit measurements, and outlet-level stock chips.

Manual On-Screen Search

Includes a built-in virtual keyboard allowing shoppers to quickly search items by name or SKU when a barcode is missing.

Automatic Idle Reset

Uses a configurable watchdog timer that automatically clears the screen and returns to the attract screen for the next shopper.

Long-Press Staff Settings

Protects kiosk settings with a long-press gesture to adjust display holds, toggle photos, and manage outlet configurations.

   Settings: removed the kiosk-name, location-label and logo-URL fields — kiosk name now reads the station's real name from the host, and the logo reads the company profile instead of a typed URL. Exit control replaced: a plain "Exit flow" button with a log-out icon, no credential-challenge text (no host credential gate). Defaults flipped: stock shown, images hidden.

   State the surface class explicitly: an UNATTENDED, CUSTOMER-FACING price-check kiosk, not a staff tool. This flow was already consistent, but its sibling was not, so the manifest now records the settled answer symmetrically in both — along with the three things it drives: the credential-gated station-home exit, staff settings behind a deliberate long-press, and the idle watchdog. The settings dialog is named as the only staff-facing surface in the flow. Also aligns the shared data layer with the sibling: pricing.ts, ready.ts, useStation.ts and useCatalog.ts are byte-identical across both price checkers, and useConfig.ts differs only in the NS namespace constant. Verified by reading both trees back rather than assumed.

   0.6.1 design system + correctness rework. Design system: screens now compose from the @/final/ui engine primitives; removed the :root token block from index.css (it pinned --radius to 0.375rem over the engine's 0.625rem and disconnected the corner knob). Declared src/options.json with four maker knobs — price-screen layout, image size, search density and logo placement — all wired and verified live. Replaced the hardcoded vendor SVG with a brand wordmark from BRAND.name. Correctness: the headline price now carries its selling unit; search price ranges group by unit so a glass/bottle wine never renders one meaningless range; stock makes no claim rather than a false local one (untracked, pool borrowers, or unknown outlet); config rows are namespaced per flow with migration so the two price-check kiosks stop overwriting each other's settings; station home is now credential-gated per the wall-kiosk contract; deleted variants can no longer be priced or offered; the settings dialog body scrolls so Save is reachable on a kiosk-height screen; handshake and each data hook have hard boot backstops.
