More than a card reader.

  • One device, not four

    Payments and the apps beside them — a register, stock, an order history — on the same screen, so the counter is wherever the device is.

  • It prints where it stands

    A 40mm roll under the lid. The receipt is handed over at the table, on the floor or at the door, without a walk back to the till.

  • Quad-core, 1.3 gigahertz

    An ARM Cortex-A7 running Android 9 or 10 — the till, the card and the printer at once, without the queue noticing.

  • A camera, and a scanner if you need one

    A rear camera for the codes a phone shows you, and an optional barcode scanner for stock that carries a label.

  • The roof reads the card

    Contactless payments at 13.56 MHz — the band a card or a phone taps on.

  • Paper comes off the top

    An integrated printer behind the lid: 57mm-wide paper on a 40mm roll, at up to 100mm a second. The receipt leaves at the same edge the card was tapped on.

  • A 5.5" screen, held in one hand

    1280 by 720, capacitive — large enough to show the amount at arm's length across a table, and to be the thing a customer reads rather than something the staff member has to turn round and narrate.

  • Chip and stripe as well

    A card that is not tapped is still taken: the terminal reads chip cards and magnetic stripes, so nothing has to be handed back.

A mobile terminal stops being mobile the moment it needs a wall. Final Touch is built to run a whole trading day on one charge — a stall from setup to teardown, a dining room through two sittings, a hatch that opens before the queue does and stays open after it thins.
