Merchant Hub now guides new stores from signup to first sale
The new Get Started experience in Merchant Hub replaces the empty dashboard with a guided four-step setup, a one-time welcome tour, and a sample store to explore, so new merchants know exactly what to do from the moment they sign in.
A better first day with Final POS
Signing up for a new POS and landing on a dashboard full of $0.00 figures is a rough start. We have fixed that.
Merchant Hub now opens with a Get Started page built for day one: a guided four-step setup, a one-time welcome tour, and a sample store you can explore before committing to anything.
What's new
The "Meet Merchant Hub" welcome tour. The first time you open Get Started, a full-screen tour walks through every major area of Merchant Hub: Products, Integrations, Orders, Customers, Reports, Stations, Your Flows and Card payments. One section, one sentence, one screenshot. It opens automatically, closes when you are ready, and never opens itself again. Your dismissal is saved to your account, not your browser.
A sample store to explore. After the tour, Merchant Hub is already populated with sample products, categories, customers and orders. Browse freely; nothing is permanent. The sample data stays until you set up your own store, with no expiry and no pressure.
Four-step progress tracking. Get Started shows a progress bar across four steps, each worth 25%:
Set up your store: create an Outlet and a tax rate
Build your catalog: add a product, category and attribute, or migrate from another platform
Launch your POS: open a Station in a browser or on a terminal
Set up card payments: activate Final Pay, or mark the step complete if you are cash-only
Each card links straight to the right page with the creation dialog already open. When a step is done, the card updates to show what you built.
Automatic routing when you are done. Once all four steps are complete, Get Started disappears from the sidebar and Merchant Hub takes you to the Dashboard.
Seamless hand-off from Flow. If you built a flow at flow.finalpos.com and clicked through to Merchant Hub, your session carries over with no second sign-in, and you land on Get Started if your store is not configured yet.
Applies to existing accounts too. If you have had an account for a while but never finished setup, you will see Get Started until all four steps are complete. No account is left on an empty dashboard.
This update is live now for all Merchant Hub accounts.
