How to process refunds, print receipts and manage orders in Quick Register
In the Quick Register flow, tap the x in the search bar to clear a query, open a product card to see live stock, use Order History to view and refund past orders, and tap Add Customer during checkout to register a new customer. Receipts print automatically when an order completes and can be re-printed from the order.
Before you start
Make sure your Station is running the latest version of the Quick Register flow. You can check or upgrade the version from Station Home.
How do I clear a product search?
Type a query into the Quick Register search bar.
Tap the x on the right side of the search field.
The field clears and the full product catalog reloads.
The x only appears when there is text in the field.
How do I check stock and adjust it on the floor?
From the product grid, tap any product card to open its detail view. The current stock count is shown in real time.
If stock is zero, an out-of-stock warning appears and the add-to-cart button is disabled. If stock is below the low-stock threshold, a low-stock badge appears on the card in the grid.
To adjust stock, tap Adjust Stock on the detail screen, enter the corrected quantity and tap Save. The updated count syncs immediately.
Stock adjustments cannot go below zero. If you enter a number that would, you see a validation error before you can save.
How do I view order history?
From the Quick Register menu, tap Order History.
Past transactions appear sorted by date.
Tap any order to open its Order Detail page: the itemised breakdown, amounts, payment method and status.
Managers can audit transactions and confirm refund status here without leaving the flow.
How do I process a refund?
Open Order History and tap the order to refund.
On the Order Detail page, tap Refund.
Confirm the amount in the prompt.
When the refund completes, a success confirmation appears. That is your signal the refund is recorded.
If you see an error screen, do not attempt the refund again until you have confirmed the order status in Order History. Refunding twice sends the customer a duplicate refund. If the connection drops mid-refund, wait for the status to update once connectivity is restored.
How do I print a receipt?
Receipts print automatically when an order completes. To print manually:
On the Order Complete screen, tap Print Receipt.
The receipt goes to the connected thermal printer.
If the printer is not responding, a print error appears. The sale is still recorded. Check that the printer is powered on, connected and loaded with paper, then print again from the Order Detail page. Offline receipt queueing is not supported yet: if the printer is offline when the order completes, the receipt will not print later on its own.
How do I create a customer during checkout?
During an active checkout, tap Add Customer.
Fill in the customer's details in the dialog.
Tap Submit. The customer profile is created and linked to the current sale.
If the email or phone number already exists in your customer list, the dialog shows a field-level error telling you what to fix. Correct it and resubmit; the checkout stays open. Loyalty enrolment is not available during quick customer creation; enrol customers from their profile in the Merchant Hub.
