How to migrate from Lightspeed X-Series

Migrate from Lightspeed X-Series in the Merchant Hub — connect your Lightspeed X-Series account, start the migration, and Final imports your products, categories, and customers in the background.

When you migrate from Lightspeed X-Series, Final brings your store across so you can sell at your stations without rebuilding your catalog by hand. The steps to migrate from Lightspeed X-Series are simple: connect your account, start the migration, and Final imports everything in the background while you keep working.

What comes over from Lightspeed X-Series

A Lightspeed X-Series migration imports:

  • Products

  • Categories

  • Customers

Final shows a per-item summary when the import finishes, so you can see how many of each were added.

How the connection works

In the connect panel, select Connect Lightspeed X-Series to link your account and authorize the connection. Once it's linked, the panel shows Connected to Lightspeed X-Series and the migration option appears. Nothing is imported until you choose Start migration, so connecting on its own is safe, and you can select Disconnect at any time.

This is Lightspeed X-Series. Lightspeed Retail is a different Lightspeed product and appears in the Integrations grid marked Coming soon — so be sure to pick the card that matches the store you're moving from.

Good to know

  • Stock levels aren't imported yet. Products arrive with stock tracking off, so set your quantities in Final after the migration. Stock import for Lightspeed X-Series is on the way.

  • Your history stays in Lightspeed. Orders and discounts aren't part of a migration — it brings across the products, categories, and customers you'll sell with in Final going forward.

  • You can run it again. After a migration you can choose Start migration again from the panel; re-running updates what's already in Final rather than duplicating it.

After the migration

Open Manage → Products to review your imported products and categories and set your stock quantities. Your imported customers appear under Manage → Customers. From there your Lightspeed X-Series catalog behaves like any other product in Final — ready to sell at your stations.

  5. 5
