How to migrate from Shopify

Migrate from Shopify in the Merchant Hub — enter your .myshopify.com domain to connect your store, start the migration, and Final imports your products, categories, and customers in the background.

When you migrate from Shopify, Final brings your Shopify products across so you can sell them at your stations without re-entering them by hand. You connect your store with its .myshopify.com domain, start the migration, and Final imports everything in the background.

What comes over from Shopify

A Shopify migration imports:

  • Products

  • Categories

  • Customers

Final shows a per-item summary when the import finishes, so you can see how many of each were added.

How the connection works

Shopify connects per store. In the connect panel you enter your store's .myshopify.com domain — this is the store Final will link to — and choose Connect. Final sends you to that store's Shopify consent screen to authorize the connection, then returns you to Final showing Connected to Shopify. Nothing imports until you select Start migration, and you can Disconnect at any time.

Good to know

  • Smart (automated) collections come across as empty categories. Their rules aren't recreated, so the category is created but stays empty. Recreate the rule in Final or add products to the category by hand after the import.

  • Products arrive with stock tracking off. Set your stock quantities in Final after the migration so your counts are accurate.

  • Your history stays in Shopify. Orders, discounts, and gift cards aren't part of a migration — it brings across the products, categories, and customers you'll sell with in Final going forward.

  • You can run it again. After a migration you can choose Start migration again from the Shopify panel; re-running updates what's already in Final rather than duplicating it.

After the migration

Open Manage → Products to review your imported products and categories, and set your stock quantities. Your imported customers appear under Manage → Customers. From there your Shopify catalog behaves like any other product in Final — ready to sell at your stations.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open Integrations

In the Merchant Hub, go to Integrations. The page shows a grid of platforms you can connect.

  2. 2

    Select Shopify

Choose the Shopify card to open its connect panel.

  3. 3

    Enter your store domain

In the Store domain field, type your store's address in the form your-store.myshopify.com, then choose Connect.

  4. 4

    Authorize Final on Shopify

Final sends you to your Shopify store's consent screen. Approve the connection, and you return to Final showing "Connected to Shopify."

  5. 5

    Start the migration

Select Start migration. Final confirms it will import your categories, products, and customers from Shopify — confirm in the dialog to begin.

  6. 6

    Let it run and review

The import runs in the background. You'll see "Importing your catalog from Shopify…" while it runs and "Import complete" when it's done. Open Manage → Products to review the result.
