Supported payment terminals for Final Pay

Final Pay supports three payment terminals supplied by Final: Final Touch, a mobile Android terminal with a built-in printer; Final Touch Pro, a handheld terminal with a larger screen, printer and cellular; and Final Move, a pocket Bluetooth card reader. Tap to Pay on iPhone and NFC Android also works. Earlier Stripe readers are no longer offered.

Which payment terminals does Final Pay support?

The supported payment terminals for Final Pay are the three devices in Final's own lineup. Each runs the same checkout, so the choice comes down to whether you need a printer, a screen, or just a reader in your pocket:

  • Final Touch: a mobile Android smart terminal with a 5.5-inch touch display and a built-in receipt printer (40 mm roll). Register, stock, receipts and payments run on the same screen, so the counter is wherever the device is. It connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and has a replaceable battery.

  • Final Touch Pro: the handheld for busy floors. A 6.7-inch HD+ display, a built-in printer at 100 mm/s, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular connectivity, so you can ring up, take the payment and hand over the receipt where you stand. It runs Final POS on Android 13.

  • Final Move: a pocket card reader that weighs 92 g and pairs over Bluetooth with the phone or tablet you already use. It has status lights instead of a screen and no printer.

All three accept tap (contactless cards and phone wallets), chip and swipe. A Final Touch Dock and a Final Move Dock are available for the counter.

If you would rather not carry hardware at all, Tap to Pay turns a supported iPhone or NFC-equipped Android running the Final POS app into the reader. See How to take a Tap to Pay payment.

Which terminal should I choose?

  • Counter and table service with printed receipts: Final Touch. One device replaces the register, the reader and the printer.

  • Line-busting, events, deliveries, or anywhere Wi-Fi is unreliable: Final Touch Pro, for its cellular connection and larger screen.

  • Lowest cost, selling from a phone or tablet: Final Move.

  • No hardware yet: Tap to Pay on iPhone or NFC Android, then add a terminal when you need receipts or chip and PIN.

Can I use a terminal from another provider?

No. Final Pay runs on terminals supplied and configured by Final. A PIN pad or card reader from a previous processor, or a terminal bought elsewhere, cannot be connected to a Station or paired with Final Pay. If you are switching from another system, the Final team can help you pick a replacement from the lineup above.

What happened to the Stripe readers?

Final no longer sells the Stripe-era readers: the Stripe Reader S700, Stripe Reader S710, Stripe Reader M2, BBPOS WisePOS E, BBPOS WisePad 3 and the Verifone V660p. If you still use one of these, contact Final support about moving to a current terminal.

Are other terminal models available?

Yes, on request. Beyond the three in the lineup, Final can supply other Adyen terminal models when a merchant needs a specific form factor, for example a countertop PIN pad next to an existing register: the P400 Plus, V400c Plus, V400m, V210, e285p, S1E2L, S1F2L, S1E4 Pro, S1U2, M400, M450, AMS1, P630, UX410 and SFO1. These are not stocked by default, so ask the Final team about availability and lead time. For most businesses, Final Touch, Final Touch Pro or Final Move is the better fit.

Does terminal availability vary by country?

Yes. Which terminals and features you can use depends on the country you operate in. See Where Final Pay is available, or contact Final support to confirm for your country.

How do I order a terminal?

See finalpos.com/hardware or email sales@finalpos.com. Terminals are onboarded for each merchant by the Final team. Once yours arrives, follow How to connect a terminal to add it to your Station.

Frequently asked questions

Does Final Pay work with the Stripe Reader S700 or S710?

Final no longer sells the Stripe Reader S700, S710 or M2, the BBPOS WisePOS E or WisePad 3, or the Verifone V660p. The current terminals are Final Touch, Final Touch Pro and Final Move. If you still use a Stripe-era reader, contact Final support about moving to a current terminal.

Can I connect my existing PIN pad from another processor?

No. Final Pay runs on terminals supplied and configured by Final, so a PIN pad or reader from another provider cannot be paired with a Station.

Which terminal has a receipt printer?

Final Touch and Final Touch Pro both have a built-in printer with a 40 mm roll. Final Move is a reader only; pair it with Final Print or another printer if you need paper receipts.

Which terminal works without Wi-Fi?

Final Touch Pro has a cellular connection alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so it keeps taking payments where Wi-Fi is unreliable.

Do I need a terminal to accept cards?

Not necessarily. Tap to Pay turns a supported iPhone or NFC-equipped Android running the Final POS app into the reader for contactless cards and phone wallets.

How do I get a terminal?

See finalpos.com/hardware or email sales@finalpos.com. Terminals are onboarded for each merchant by the Final team.
