How to close a session

1. Open the menu from the Final Terminal home screen.

2. Review the session summary at the top — the session total, number of sales, tips, and how long the session has been open.

3. Tap Close session.

4. Confirm to close the session. Final Terminal generates the session's close-out report.

What's in the close-out report

The close-out report is the same detailed report you'll find later under Sessions. It summarizes the shift:

• Details — when the session opened and closed, and who opened and closed it.

• Sales — Gross Sales, Net Sales, taxable sales, and discounts.

• Fees Summary — cart and product fees.

• Payments — payments and net payments, the Final Pay payment total, processing fees, and the net payout expected.

• Transactions — the payments and refunds taken during the session.

• Cash Drawer summary — on terminals that support cash management (opening cash, cash in/out, expected vs. counted, and any over/under).

You can Print Report, and the closed session stays available later under Sessions.

Frequently asked questions
