Payment Setup: account & cardholder signatures
Manage your Payment Account and request cardholder signatures in the Merchant Hub under Pay → Setup. For tipping, see How to configure Tips.
What's in Payment Setup
In the Merchant Hub, go to Pay → Setup. The page is organized into sections:
Payment Account — manage your business details, bank account, and payout settings.
Tips — turn tipping on and customize the amounts. (See How to configure Tips.)
Request Cardholder Signature — collect signatures before completing payments.
You may need permission to save: Editing these settings requires permission to edit payment settings. If Save Changes is unavailable, ask an administrator for access.
Payment Account
Connect or manage your Stripe account from the Payment Account section. It lets you manage your business details, bank account, and payout settings. Stripe handles the secure side of card processing for Final Pay, so you can update your details here at any time after setup.
Request a cardholder signature
You can ask customers to sign on the terminal before a payment is completed. The signature is stored with the order, which is useful evidence if a payment is ever disputed.
In the Request Cardholder Signature section, switch the toggle on.
In the On Reader Instructions box, type the message customers see on the terminal before they sign (up to 100 characters) — for example, "Please sign below to confirm your purchase."
Save your changes.
Use signatures to strengthen dispute responses: A stored signature is strong evidence that the cardholder authorized the purchase. If you respond to chargebacks often, turning this on can help. See "Managing Payments, Refunds & Disputes."
Save your changes
Use the Save Changes button at the top right of the page. It stays disabled until you make a change, shows a spinner while saving, and confirms with "Changes saved successfully." Settings apply to new checkouts after they're saved.
